Director of PACT Natalie Light

Natalie Light (she/her) is an Association for the Study of Animal Behaviour (ASAB) accredited Certificated Clinical Animal Behaviourist, an Animal Behaviour & Training Council (ABTC) Registered Clinical Animal Behaviourist and Animal Training Instructor and a full member of the Association of Pet Behaviour Counsellors and Fellowship of Animal Behaviour Clinicians. Natalie has been working professionally in the companion animal sector since 2006 and has graduated from Southampton University with a Zoology BSc (2:1) and Newcastle University in Applied Animal Behaviour & Welfare PGDip (Distinction). She is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and a lecturer on the Animal Welfare and Society BA Hons at University of Winchester. Nat's aim as a behaviourist and trainer is to provide her clients with the understanding, knowledge and practical skills to confidently identify, manage and reinforce behaviours in order to have a safe and happy life with their dog. She believes that by focussing on the dog/human relationship and encouraging effective and appropriate communication, we can live with our dogs more successfully. Nat lives in Hampshire with her 5 dogs, 10 ducks, 4 goldfish, 2 tortoises and 1 human (Jay).

Director of Training & Tutor Steve Goodall

Director of PACT Dogs Ltd Steve Goodall (he/him) is an Animal Behaviour and Training Council (ABTC) Registered Animal Training Instructor. Steve has been a Professional Dog Trainer since 2010 working in the southern Hampshire area striving to put welfare first using the most current science-based and humane training methods. Along with his partner Corrin, Steve has built Goodall Dog Training to become one of the most respected canine training businesses in Hampshire. Running hundreds of classes, 1-2-1s and courses a year, they help people live with and understand their dogs. Steve has recently published his first book, Jack And Billy Puppy Tales, which is aimed at families. Co-written with Sally Bradbury, who mentored Steve at the beginning of his dog career, Steve also illustrated the book which has been brilliantly received and reviewed by some of the most respected and leading professionals in our industry. He also has a passion for presenting, sound engineering and recording, hosting the popular dog-centric podcast Barks From The Bookshelf alongside Natalie Light and Corrin Goodall as well as being asked to host webinars for leading dog training organisations. Steve is passionate about the understanding of the emotional/relationship side of dog training believing that through the best understanding of the current science we can learn to live happily and healthily with our companion animals.
